SIXTH FORM SUBJECTS
AS and A2 LEVEL
BIOLOGY: AS + A2 LEVEL [OCR]
Course Aims
Biologists study life at every level of organisation - from the atoms
of biological molecules, to organ systems from the genetics of populations,
to the interaction of organisms in an ecosystem.
The A Level OCR modular syllabus at Colyton incorporates aspects of this
enormous and enjoyable subject and is good as a basis for a degree in
molecular biology, genetics, physiology, medicine and ecology, or just
because you enjoy learning about life!
The skills of analysis, questioning, hypothesising and prediction are
prerequisites for most higher education courses.
