Make a gift

The Annual Fund (formerly the Alumni and Friends Fund) has been created to further the educational experience of all its students. We need our CGS Alumni, parents and friends to help us maintain excellence and provide inspirational facilities . Our students are aspiring to be the best across a wide variety of subjects, to enable us to provide them with the very best opportunities we need your help as a parent, alumni, staff or friend of the school.corridor_and_lawn

If you are able to contribute a regular or one –off donation, your gift can make a huge difference.

If you are a current parent, past alumni with ‘warm’ memories of your time at Colyton, this is a way to say thank you, and a chance for you to support the next generation.  If you’d like to discuss a specific gift to a department or for a piece of equipment please contact us.

The governors and management team regularly review the needs for funding and the School Fund is essential to enhance the student experience.

How to donate

Please consider giving to the “Annual Fund” which relies totally on voluntary donations for support. Your contribution will go towards the following:Alumni_Give_Now2

In common with all schools,  given a significant reduction in state funding in recent years,  it is a struggle to sustain the quality of education and breadth of experience that can we offer.

The current educational funding formula focuses resources on those with the greatest ‘perceived’ need and is based on factors such as social deprivation and low prior educational achievement.  Needless to say, as a selective academy, we do not qualify for funding based on underachievement but our able students do require a broader curriculum than ‘average’ children and this too comes at a cost.
